Cynthia Y Cooper

b.1954. Cynthia Cooper is a cheerful and energetic artist who lives and works in Connecticut, USA. She has been making art pretty much forever, including throughout the time that she directed both an award-winning advertising/graphic design studio and a successful e-commerce website selling antique textiles.

She initially imagined her work as a message to viewers that life is short and that we are all in the process of dying but we should be focused on living. One curator described her "... painting of thousands of small tic marks as an expression of time and discipline required in artistic practice". She thinks of her work as joy-filled and transcendent.
